THE HOGTOWN ALLSTARS hit THE COVE INN
THE HOGTOWN ALLSTARS hit THE COVE INN in Westport last Friday, Feb 15 and put on one of the best Shows in the 8 years that BLUES ON THE RIDEAU has been running. What a talented, veteran band - 5 members from DOWNCHILD (basically everyone except the great Donnie Walsh) - Chuck Jackson on vocals & harp, Michael Fonfara on keyboards, Pat Carey on sax, Gary Kendall on bass and Mike Fitpatrick on drums plus Teddy Leonard from FATHEAD on guitar. They just ripped it up. These guys have definitely paid their dues and know their Blues! Every one of them has either won or been nominated for a Maple Blues Award in their instrument category. They played everything from originals to old classics, to R&B, soul a couple of ballads - all with energy, polish and style. |

| The dance floor was packed from the first song right through to the end of the night with a double encore demanded. These boys will definitely be invited back and I'm sure it will take a two night stand to accommodate everyone who wants to come the next time around.
